Flat Stanley Visits Annabel Odom

Annabel was sooo excited to meet Flat Stanley. She immediately took him to meet some new friends... Scentsy Monkey and Monkey Monkey. They all cuddeled up in Annabel's bed and watched a princess  movie. Stanley said it was fun but they were all sleepy and eventually fell alseep together.

The next morning I found Annabel and Stanley wide wake, coloring in the princess tent. After some breakfast and a bath we decided to make Stanley a vest to wear. Annabel was worried he was cold since he was basically naked. Stanley and Annabel worked really hard on the little vest and were so proud of their finished product.

The rest of this day was spent trying on the boys' new football gear, going for a tricycle ride with Annabel, buying some fruit and searching for bananas that weren't super green.

Our last day together was fun too. Stanley and Annabel played in the backyard for hours that day! Blowing bubbles and running around just being a kid. Stanley wanted to float in the pool for a bit and get some sunshine... Annabel was worried he would fall in so she floated with him for awhile too.

Stanley wanted to take a goodbye picture with Annabel before he left the next morning... but Annabel was so sad he was leaving she just kept crying and trying to tear up his envelope. We did give him a big hug and kiss before sending him off to visit Amie and Jordan!!!
We miss you Stanley!!! Hope you are having safe and fun travels elsewhere!!!

FS visits the Haase home in Minnesota!

Flat Stanley arrived with great anticipation from Isaiah and mommy.

He did alot of playing with his new friend and promptly declared that he loved him and we could not send him to his next family.

FS spent time snuggling with us watching movies and resting as we weren't feeling the best and had surgery that following week.

FS helped mommy with the laundry.  Funny...she often has the same look on her face when she's doing laundry.  :0)

FS was with us when Osama BinLaden was killed by Seal Team 6, so we found it fitting that he get a red, white, and blue bracelet made out of parachute cord.
We were sad to see him go, even more sad to see him stuffed in an envelope.

Flat Stanley comes to Damon, Texas!

In a nearly unfortunate series of events Flat Stanley arrived just in time to go to work with me at the Walmart in Lake Jackson. We did not take any pictures of this adventure but he somehow got his hands on a Walmart In Store Credit Gift Card which he took with him onto his next destination. Barrett and Xander were both asleep when we got home from work but Stanley met Bear in the morning and they were INSTANT friends!
Barrett had to make sure Stanley got into the picture!

Then we were off on a walk around town!

There was a lot of walking, but Stanley rode with Barrett in the stroller!

They had Candy at the post office!

Egg hunting at the school in Damon. It was the city wide egg hunt!

Barrett wouldn't let Stanley out of his site!

but Stanley was wore out and had to take a breather in the stroller while ensuring the safety of the eggs!

Then some refreshments and socialization.

And a picture of all the participants.

More walking.

Barrett claimed Stanley was tired and needed to ride in the stroller while he pushed.

Then more riding for Stanley and Barrett.

Above is the only evidence of the fun had while Mom (Karla) was off at work...a bit disturbing!

And what Mom saw when she got home from work.

Excited to go to Church on Easter Sunday!

Grace Community Fellowship Needville Texas

Barrett is ready for a big day at church!

Stanley got to participate in our weekly donut ritual before Sunday School.

Looks like he shared Xander's Coke.

attempt at a family picture....fail.

Stanley hung out with the big kids for a while guarding the door to the Easter Egg patch!

The little ones were sooo excited about Easter Egg Hunt starting soon!

From Barrett's perspective

He says it's HIS Stanley

Stepped right over an egg in the excitement!

They got one!

There was a lot of competition!

Every kid was allowed 10 eggs.

So we went inside to count them!

Stanley held them while we counted together

Then he got a piggy back ride on Bear's Shoulders.

Then we settled into the church for Praise and Worship!!

Christy helped Stanley tickle Barrett's neck.

And it was all over before we knew it!

Again mom (Karla) had to go to work at Walmart right after church and the kids were left to document their time with Stanley. Unfortunately the only pictures are of bedtime...we have a secret window of time where they must have had great adventures but no pictures of the activities!

Again sleeping snuggled in with Barrett.

Finally this morning we knew we had to send Stanley on so we took another picture of him so we would never forget his time here.

A quick stop at the WIC office to do a little play time and writing and off he went to the post office to see the next family on the list!

We miss you already Stanley!!
